When my friend John’s wife passed, he lost his health insurance coverage. Not knowing just what product would work best for him, Rosie came to the rescue. John is also a veteran, so coverage through the VA was also an option but would mean considerable traveling for services. Humana PPO has been a lifesaver. There have been co-pays but the extensive health care needs that were unexpected have been covered, therapists came to the home to provide the necessary support following his stroke, and preventive care is on going. We have learned that this coverage is more affordable than the VA coverage for John considering his level of care based on various factors. He can receive support from both VA and his primary care doctor. Thus he has a second opinion; two heads are better than one. However, the care for specialists would have been more expensive through the VA, not to mention traveling to Tampa for such services as well as wait time. We are thankful for options!
